Probably the most deeply disturbing image I have ever seen or will ever think about.

Atomic bombs are immensely destructive forces, however the spectacle they provide is unmatched and awe-inspiring for successive eras. Technology and chemical instability combines in a fascinatingly imposing amphitheater of morality and the potential for utter abolition of industrially established human settlements - as witnessed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A picturesque combination of engineering advancement, redeeming the plight of physics in a questionable merge of scientific responsibility, political augmentation and environmental catastrophe. Iconic for their domination over modern weaponry in relation to scale and destructive potential, their shadows loom unrelentingly over modern combat situations and conflicts, with the potential for forthcoming demolition ever-present in society. The image of the immediately identifiable 'mushroom cloud' has wider implications for media; electronic communication leaves previously classified videos in the public domain for general public consumption, awakening emotions and connections to each event from subsequent generations years after the last bomb was detonated.

Some may see destruction, i see beauty.
