The Killing Fields - Cambodia

An absolutely horrific image of 20th century genocide. Pol Pot wanted to take the Cambodian people back to 'year zero' by creating a peasant society. He orded the murder of educated people and millions of Cambodians accustomed to city life were now forced into slave labor in Pol Pot's "killing fields" where they soon began dying from overwork, malnutrition and disease, on a diet of one tin of rice (180 grams) per person every two days.

This has opened my eyes to something I hadn't even heard of before. I find it hard to believe that humans can be this horrific.

I had never seen/heard about this before, the image is truly shocking, makes you think about each victim when you see an image like this.
