i chose Amy Winehouse, not as an iconic figure on society herself, i chose the message this image shows. this image epitomizes the downfall Amy has gone through as she fights her way in and out of rehab. in many cases people look down on her story casting judgments, but all i feel is a sense of pity. the young singer seems to have had her fall from grace 10 times over. she is often pictured on stage looking lost, connoting the idea of innocence, quite the contrast to the image of Amy plastered all over the tabloids.

i think it can also be an iconic image of society, as she almost symbolises so many of the "negative" things about society; drugs, tattoos, eating issues etc.
